How Much Faith Do you Have?
Sometimes you think that life is just too hard and that you cannot move forward. There is no path to success. Where is your faith? Do you not believe that you are capable of creating success?
I often wonder if I know what I am doing as an entrepreneur. What knowledge do I have? What am I an expert at that others want? Then I look at what I do know. I take steps to share and I impact the lives of good people. That is worth doing.
What are you unsure of that perhaps you could be doing if you had enough faith in yourself? Is there something that you really want, but you doubt that you have the ability to make it happen?
Turning To Examples
When I started out as an entrepreneur, I looked to my wife as an example. She has started a few small businesses and had some success in some and not in others. She just never stopped. I wanted something bigger, but the example was there. I also looked to my grandfather who had started his life over multiple times due to war, societal poverty due to war, and because our families wanted to try something different from what the big city was offering us. He wasn’t magnificently successful, but he didn’t fail. He learned and adapted.
I have since chosen other examples in friends who are successful entrepreneurs. They help me see where I am sabotaging myself. Watching them, I gain insight into how to set goals and stay focused on them. I rub shoulders with millionaires and billionaires. Am I one? Not yet. In these associations, I seek to understand what they understand. Yet, I am still seeking the success I want. Does that mean I am a failure? No, it means that I am trying. Growth is my objective. Riding coat tails is not my intent either. It is to learn and follow their example.
I look at my dad’s side of the family, and I see a string of failed businesses and jobs. I see families that struggled because of faith in self. Attitudes changed as these events continued and blaming started. That led to more mistakes. That is an example that I can learn from too. My dad did a good job of breaking that cycle. He tried and found success. People looked up to him in business and he cares about his community.
Picking The Best
I have learned that I succeed more when I find the best examples and follow them. It doesn’t mean that others I have watched are bad. They are good, but there can be and are better examples. I want success sooner rather than later. I also want to learn from the best so I can help more people sooner. Sharing ideas that help lead to success and growth is fun. It is fulfilling. I recommend that you find the things that bring joy to you. Find ways to use those things to help others.
One thing that I constantly learn from successful people is to help others. So long as I help others, and remain open to opportunities, good things will come into my life.
